2019 Bow Hunt Rules

REGISTRATION: Saturday, April 6th. 

Doors close at 8:30 a.m.

Orientation and Proficiency is Saturday, September 7 at 4:00 p.m. or Thursday, September 12 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ruth Edwards Nature Center located at  2114 Lowell Park Road, Dixon, 61021.

Doors close at 9 a.m.

The Dixon Park District offers Archery Hunting for Deer and Turkey in the Meadows Unit during specific days. REGISTRATION THROUGH THE PARK DISTRICT IS REQUIRED. Hunters are required to pass a proficiency test with their bow and attend a program orientation prior to the hunt. The fee schedule varies depending on the period of the season hunted.

Registration AFTER the orientation and proficiency test must be cleared with bow hunt coordinator.
