Nature Fun for Little Ones Oct 2nd
October 2 from 10 -11 AM. This class is designed for kids 3 – 5 years old. Parents should plan to stay on-site during the session.
Paper Making Oct 8th
Oct 8th at 2:30. This class is for ages 7 and up.
Fall Ecology Nature Walk Oct 10th
October 10th, 1:30- 3 pm. All ages free event. Please dress for the weather.

Mini National Parks Oct 22nd
October 22nd at 2:30 PM. Become a park ranger of your own mini national park and share your discoveries of the “special attractions” within your own park.
Movies in the Parks
Friday, October 2nd at 7 PM showing “A Bugs Life”. Admission is free with social distancing practiced. Limited to the first 50 people on a first come first served basis. The showing will be at Lowell Park
Friday, October 16th at 7 PM showing ” The Lion King (2019)”. Admission is free with social distancing practiced. Limited to the first 50 people on a first-come first-served basis. The showing will be at the Grist Mill in Franklin Grove.
All of the events are FREE and open to the public except as indicated.
Environmental education classes are available for students of all ages. Classes are designed to provide students with structured, hands-on learning that promotes a better understanding of the natural world and strengthens positive environmental values.
We invite you to schedule a whole or half-day visit. Please provide a minimum of 3 weeks advance notice prior to the date you wish to reserve. Our naturalist will work with you to choose the activities and curriculum that best fit your needs. Call the Nature Center at 815-288-5209
