Creative Kids

In the summer of 2019 we started a program called Art in the Park which was held every Wednesday from 10 til noon. Each week we were at a different park creating crafts! Once the summer was over we decided to make this a year round program and we now call it Creative Kids. The arts and crafts sessions are held at 116 E First St in Dixon and are Wednesdays from 3 to 5 pm- perfect for after school!

Lowell Park Playground

New playground in Lowell Park opened in August of 2019. The playground features swings, slides, monkey bars, a ZIPLINE and much more! All of this at the base of Lowell Park overlooking the beautiful Rock River. Pack a picnic and visit our newest playground today!

Water Wonderland Splash Pad

Water Wonderland opened up in early July 2019. After an initial $200,000 donation from Tom and Kathi Sherman the community stepped up and raised enough to make this vision a reality. There are 23 water features, beautiful landscaping with a fountain, picnic tables with solar powered chargers, newly paved and striped parking lot, and soon to be completed pavilion and restrooms. This project couldn’t have been successful without the support of the city, the community, and the Sherman family.
